$108 Million in Indian Housing Block Grants
The Department of Housing and Urban Development recently announced $108 million in Indian Housing Block Grant funds to 68 tribes in 19 states. IHBG funds are intended to primarily benefit low-income families living on Indian reservations or in other communities. The Choctaw Housing Authority in Mississippi received just over $3 million in funding under this allocation.
