Advanced Energy Manufacturing Credit Extension

House Ways and Means member Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.) proposed the Clean Energy Jobs Act (H.R. 4108) to provide $5 billion for the Section 48C Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit that provides a 30 percent credit to companies for investment in new, expanded, or re-equipped domestic clean energy manufacturing facilities built in the United States.  The credit reached its $2.3 billion cap in 2010. President Obama had asked for a $5 billion extension of the program in his fiscal year 2012 budget request.
